In 2018, Fred's Kids and our partners were able to help purchase books for the students' curriculum, and provide 2 to 3 nourishing meals a day for the 350 students.

In 2019, Fred's Kids and our partners were able to help fund the purchases of new computers and laptops for the school. We also were able to get new uniforms for some of the kids.

Marindi Grace Academy was created to provide education for children that cannot afford to go to any of the other schools in Kenya. Pastor Fred Otieno's vision for this school is to reach out to the poorest communities in order to give all children a chance at a real future. This school prepares the students for their future careers as well as teaching them the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
One of the Fred's Kids missions is to come alongside and help support this academy. There are currently ~400 students enrolled in Marindi Academy.
Fred's Kids is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit charity registered in the US.

School in 2020 was much like it was in the United States. When Covid-19 was detected in Kenya, all schools were closed. In January 2021 schools opened with much stricter requirements for safety. Our High School kids started first and then followed by the younger kids. The babies still take naps in the afternoon. Pastor Fred acquired new mattresses to replace the old grass mats they had used before.
